KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE
Rome’s Race for the Cure is the symbolic event of “Susan G. Komen Italy”, the non-profit organization based on voluntary work, active since 2000 in the fight against breast cancer al lover Italy.
Next edition in Rome is set for spring 2016.The same event takes place in other three cities in Italy in either spring or autumn: Bari, Bologna and Brescia.
Komen Race for the Cure is a three-day event dedicated to health, sport, welfare and solidarity. It traditionally culminates on a Sunday, when the 5 km competitive race and the 2 km non-competitive walk take place.
Rome’s Komen Race for the Cure was the first to be held outside the USA, making of Italy the first European partner to the main branch of this non-profit oragnization, which sprang from Dallas and has beeing engaged in the breast cancer fight for the last 30 years.
