Eataly Opens In Rome

eataly romeRome June 2012: Eataly has opened its biggest store in the world. The current location is in an abandoned air terminal built for the 1990 Italy World Cup event. Four storey complex with 20 restaurants, bars, coffee and diverse specialist markets for cheese, ham, pasta, olives oils and wines.

Oscar Farinetti said: “Welcome to the biggest place in the world dedicated to Italian food. Our aim is to make it the third most visited place after the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums”.

Seen the aftermath of January 2007 Turin debut and later succeeding in opening 18 others (eight in Italy) including New York and Tokyo; Farinetti seem to give correct business forecast but don’t count your chickens before they are hatched.

Anyway, people have started chatting and twitting about this structure that gave a sense of joy for the employment (400 workers) it created in a time of economic crack down and restoring the abandoned store to life.

Eataly is not just a food mega store with the best Italian quality but kind of school that teaches children responsible food consumption and be food friendly.

Those visiting Rome for few days can take the opportunity to enjoy foodies in this station in just few  underground or train stops from the main tourist attractions of Rome.

Metro B: from Termini direction Laurentina and get off Piramide (Ostiense Station).

Train: from Tiburtina Station direction Fiumicino Airport and get off Piramide (Ostiense Station) .

Radiohead visits Rome

radiohead_1Four years after the overwhelming success – 36 thousand tickets sold in a few days – of their live shows in Milan, Radiohead will visit Italy again, this time as the first stop of his European tour and decided to please the Italian fans with four concerts in some of the most beautiful cities of our country. Radiohead have rewarded this time the Italian public: in fact, Italywill be the country where the band will make more stops. The first will be Saturday, June 30 in Rome at the ‘Ippodromo Capannelle (as a part of the Rock in Roma Festival).

In a career that spans 8 albums and nearly 20 years of outstanding music-making Radiohead has fused alternative rock art rock, electronic to punk and psychedelic pop, becoming one of the most influential bands – for critics, musicians and audience – in recent decades. With electronic rhythms, especially the voice of Thom Yorke and visionary lyrics, the band of Oxford has created a soundtrack for our age, producing political texts, and often openly siding on the side of protest.081029_125122_thomradioheadDCL02

The band has often made anti-commercial choices, forcing rapid changes to an already full of sound experimental details: This did not prevent them, however, to sell more than 25 million records, and collect prizes and awards, including 3 Grammy Awards, Ivor Novello 1 , and 3 Q Awards.
For all the fans, don’t lose the chance to see theme live!! See you in Rome then, on Saturday 30 June 2012, and dont forget to contact us or check our website to get the best accomodation at the most affordable rates!

Sting in Rome

sting-concerti-italiaMister Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner was born the 2nd October 1951. That name may doesn’t tell you that much. He is  known worldwide as STING.

Sting took his nickname while playing in jazz clubs at the beginning of  his amazing careerBack then, he performed wearing a black and yellow sweater with stripes, so he was called STING , since his clothes reminded a bee. He alternated his activity as a musician with a job as a School teacher.

His big time began when he moved to London and formed the Police. The band explored the ferocity of punk rock adding a richness of elements non usual on that style, letting show the virtuosity of his members. The Police evolved towards pop music with some elements of reggae and jazz music creating ‘’standards’’ in pop music such as ‘’every breath you take’’.

Even if there was not a formal dissolution of the band, each member took his own path for a solo career in the middle of the 80’s (at the top of their success). Sting as singer and song writer of The Police continue a very successful career by his own.

STING is 59 years old.  he keeps himself in good shape: How? running 8 km a day and practicing yoga as part of his daily routine.

He is music is unique, combining powerful and delicate sounds with direct references to jazz.

He is very fond to Italy, he has a residence in this country, where he lives for periods.
